About Us

I’m Jen the creator & owner of Olive Can Fly. We are a stained glass and flower preservation studio based in Wellington Yard, a new creative and independent hub in Wavertree.

We are a family run independent business that specialises in creating beautiful stained glass pieces and preserving your special flowers using traditional stained glass techniques. I also run several workshops from our studio where you can create your own stained glass piece to take home.

Our portfolio includes the preservation of both celebration and memorial flowers, stained glass wedding bouquets, stained glass repairs, funky sun catchers, bespoke stained glass jewellery – we have even taken old but sentimental pieces of stained glass and given them a new lease of life!

Our business name pays tribute to one of our many rescue dogs, Olive, who is yet to meet a fence or gate that she can’t fly over with ease. For months the phrase “Olive Can Fly” was said around our house in response to her display of canine aerial acrobatics.

We all agreed that it would have made a cracking name for a band but as I couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket, it was used for the business instead.

Although based in Liverpool we work with gorgeous clients all over the UK for both stained glass and preserved flower commissions so don’t let distance stop you from getting in touch. We’d love to hear from you.

“Me and my partner absolutely loved this workshop. We had an amazing day, enjoying every second of it. Jen is a fantastic teacher and we loved the glass products we created on the day. The course was brilliant, we would recommend it to anyone and it’s encouraged us to try making things with stained glass more!”

“What a great day I had on the stained glass course! Jen is a great teacher and helped me create a great first piece – a sun catcher which I have proudly displayed in my window. Would recommend this course as it’s given me confidence to try my hand at stained glass at home, and it’s great fun.”
