Nervous, Neurodivergent Or Just Want To Know More?

It can be nerve wracking to go to a new place for the first time, especially if you’re coming to see us solo or if you’re nervous, neurodivergent or just want to know more about what to expect at a stained glass workshop. This is a little guide on what you can expect when you come along and spend some time with us.

Neurodivergent? 

Me too! I have ADHD and I like to know as much info as possible before I go to a new place. If you’re thinking about booking onto one of our workshops and are wondering what they’re like then you can read this blog post and if you have any further questions you can send me a message and we can chat. 

Communication

Once you have made your booking you will receive an email that gives you lots of relevant information such as what to bring and where to find us. You will also be given my phone number in case you can’t find us on the day or if you have more questions. 

 

Location

Our glass studio is based in Wavertree, Liverpool. The site address has now changed so it may still appear as Picton Road on some platforms but the studios new address is:

You need to enter the site from the Wellington Road entrance, just walk onto the site then turn left under a covered walkway. My studio is the 4th on the right, blue shutters and a blue door. Ring the doorbell and I’ll come and let you in. 

 

Arrival

Once you’re inside you can hang up your coat and bags and if you’re with me all day you can put your packed lunch in the fridge. 

While we are waiting for others to arrive you can have a look around the studio, look in the shop area and I’ll let you know where our bathroom is. 

Once everyone has arrived and settled in, you’ll come and stand by the workbench ready to begin your glass class.

You’ll get an overview of what’s to come and then we’ll begin. 

It’s a very friendly and welcoming space. You won’t be forced into doing lots of chatting if you’re not comfortable and we don’t do any ice breakers as they’re horrible and cringy, not a bit of us. 

If you ever have any questions about one of the stained or fused glass workshops that I run just get in touch. I’m happy to chat to you in advance if you’re nervous or anxious about coming, it’s no bother at all.
